Slightly different post today! I received the Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir VoxBox and I thought I should tell you guys a little bit more about it.
First things first, I’d like to disclose that I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. With that out of the way, let’s get in all the details!
The Influenster box was very simple, black with Marc Jacobs Beauty writing at the top and Influenster on the side. Still looked fairly nice though!
Inside was the Marc Jacob Beauty Velvet Noir mascara in its original outer packaging, a leaflet with some more information about the product and the Influenster, Marc Jacobs and John Lewis collaboration.
The outer packaging for the mascara looks very standard for a product of this type but the actual mascara itself looks gorgeous.
Like the box it arrived in, it is very simple and black with only Marc Jacobs writing on it but it is thick, big and daring looking. It immediately gives you the impression that this mascara will give you monster eye lashes and it does!
The wand is not as big as you expect when you see this monster looking mascara but it does the job well. However, it is absolutely drenched in mascara, something that I actually didn’t like so much. The wand has too much product on it, you can even see that in the close up picture below, but I guess that’s is better than dry mascaras?
The mascara lasts all day, the lashes stay upright and thick all day and it is a proper black colour. It doesn’t smudge or run off the lashes even if you touch them.
One coat gives you nice eye lashes, two give you nice thick and bold eye lashes and three…might as well skip the falsies. They don’t look fake but they give the same effect as the fake ones. Your eyes will look big, awake and feminine all day long.
I really liked this mascara. I loved the bold, thick cut but simple mascara packaging and the effect on the lashes after three coats. The only thing I didn’t like so much is how much product there is on the wand which can make your lashes stick to each other because there is too much product, but I guess that is a good problem to have, a much better one that all those dry mascaras out there.
This mascara retails for £22 but it is worth it. It is a product definitely worth a try that might even save you of some falsies! SCORE = 9/10
